After you have gone through all the modules, you only need to submit 2 things:

1. The mandatory exam 
2. The mandatory course evaluation survey

Each task takes on average less than 10 minutes to complete.

For course orders placed between October 2023 and December 2023:

Rest assured that the timing of when you receive your certificate will not be a concern when you submit your continuing nursing education hours to the OIIQ by December 31, 2023.

Let us review the differences between two relevant deadlines.

December 31, 2023 is the deadline to enter all your continuing nursing education hours in your OIIQ profile registry. Note that the OIIQ profile registry does not request a copy of your certificate at this time.

March 2024 is the deadline to renew your license, which includes declaring your continuing nursing education hours. Note that the OIIQ profile registry does not request a copy of your certificate at this time. However, now it is important to have your certificate in your records as proof that you completed our course, in the event of an OIIQ inquiry.  

This means that if you place an order for our course between October 2023 and December 2023, you will receive your certificate well before or latest in February 2024.

This event is approved for a maximum of 3.5 hours of accredited continuing nursing education by the Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Office, Ingram School of Nursing, McGill University.

The Continuing Nursing Education Office of the Ingram School of Nursing’s initial mandate was in response to the policy issued by l’Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ) regarding the obligation for all nurses to engage in continuing nursing education. The OIIQ requires that nurses in Quebec obtain 20 hours of professional development per year (7 hours of which must be accredited).

The CNE Office is endorsed by the Office for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine, and is compliant with the Continuing Education standards of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ).

You can definitely complete our course between 3 hours to 3.5 hours, including the mandatory exam and the mandatory survey to submit after you have gone through all the modules.

To pass the mandatory exam, you must answer all of the questions correctly. If you get incorrect answers, we give you the opportunity to retake the exam with unlimited attempts.

Don’t forget to view your results after completing the exam to see if you answered all of the questions correctly.
